Equity Interval Funds

Equity interval funds with the right management have proven their ability to deliver high returns to investors in a variety of market environments.  Several successful long/short equity fund managers have launched new interval funds in recent years. Quarterly liquidity provides an excellent compromise between daily liquidity of mutual funds, or the longer lockups of hedge funds.  With an interval fund an equity fund manager has latitude to make long term on stocks  without fear of sudden investor redemptions. Additionally, an interval fund might be the ideal vehicle to invest in less liquid equity markets, such as those in frontier or emerging markets.
